Franklin, TN – Over the last three weeks, eight auto burglaries have been reported to the Franklin Police. The burglaries have taken place in the Forrest Crossing and Riverview Subdivisions. In each case, the vehicle entered by the suspect was left unlocked. A wide variety of items were stolen, including a watch, GPS units, IPods, laptops, and other electronic equipment.
The Franklin Police Department would like to remind residents that they can greatly reduce their chances of being the victim of an auto burglary, even in a safe community, by simply locking their car doors, keeping windows rolled up when the vehicle is unattended, and not leaving valuables in parked cars. Taking GPS units and satellite radios off of the dash, and not leaving purses, briefcases or laptop cases in plain view all make your car less attractive to criminals.
Anyone with information on suspicious vehicles or persons seen in the Forrest Crossing or Riverview subdivisions can report that information by calling Franklin Police at (615) 794-2513. You can also send an anonymous tip to Franklin Police by texting the keyword 615FPD, along with your message to 847411.
You know what? With Detective Black cruising the River View area so much , surely he would have noticed someone out of place by now. Hmmmmmm , , , ,
